Solid Distiller Sieve Tray
This accessory is helpful if you plan on distilling with fruit or other solids. Our solid distiller sieve trays fold into two parts that you unfold inside the pot. When assembled, the sieve tray creates a false bottom that prevents solids from burning onto the bottom of your still and keeps burned flavors out of your moonshine. Select your still size for pricing.

Good to know
Running fruit or other solids in your pot? A solid distiller sieve tray keeps them from settling on the hot floor of the still, where they burn and turn a promising run bitter. This copper false bottom is the simple fix.
How does a still sieve tray go into the pot?
Our tray folds into two parts so it fits through the opening. You unfold it inside the pot, and once it's assembled it forms a false bottom that holds solids up away from the direct heat. Pricing depends on your still size, so select yours when you order, or contact us if you aren't sure which one fits.
- Prevents scorching: solids stay off the bottom, so nothing burns onto the copper.
- Keeps burned flavors out: no scorched notes riding along with the vapor into your run.
- Made for fruit runs: lets you distill with the fruit in the pot so more of its character can come through.
- 100% copper, lead-free: the same food-safe metal as the rest of your still.
Distilling with solids is one of the more rewarding experiments you can run, and also one of the easiest to ruin with a little too much heat. The tray gives you a margin for error while you learn. After each run, lift the halves out, rinse, and dry them before storing. Owning a still is legal in the US; making spirits requires federal TTB permits.
