Good to know
Treat this 220V copper moonshine still like a small laboratory. The 20 gallon pot has a Pasco temperature gauge, and a single 5500 watt element with a controller supplies the heat. The 3 gallon thumper has an infusion port for testing flavors from one run to the next. Every piece is 100% copper and lead-free.
How do you run a 220V copper moonshine still with an infusion port?
Fill the pot, connect cold water to the condenser, and raise the heat gradually while you watch the gauge. Load the thumper's infusion port with fruit, spice or herbs and see how each one changes the vapor. Log your settings so you can repeat a result, or change just one variable at a time.
- Footprint: the pot stands 38″ high and 15″ wide. The full setup is 45″ long, with a 19″ line arm.
- Cooling: 14 ft of copper coil inside a 3 gallon worm, with 1″ hose connections in and out.
- Cleanup: the thumper's 1 1/2″ brass flush out lets you drain it without taking the rig apart. The 12″ long, 1/2″ cross pipe uses union fittings, so takedown is easy.
- Power: plan for a 220V circuit, and contact us if you have questions about the element or controller.
Owning a still is legal in the US. You can use it to distill water, extract essential oils or make fuel alcohol. Get federal TTB permits before you make any spirits.
