What are the specs of the old school 6 gallon copper still?
Here's the full setup, so you can plan your space ahead of time:
- Pot: 6 gallons with a Pasco temperature gauge; 28.5″ tall and 9.75″ in diameter.
- Thumper: 3 gallons, with a 1" brass flush out for draining and cleaning between runs.
- Condensing worm: 3 gallons, holding 14 ft of copper condensing coil, with 1″ in/out hose connections for your cooling water.
- Footprint: the full setup is 40″ long, so measure your bench or pad and leave room for a burner and hoses.
Those 14 feet of coil are where you can watch the chemistry happen: hot vapor meets cool copper and turns back into liquid, drop by drop.
