The 4 gallon onion head copper pot still is the most compact of our traditional designs, and maybe the most charming. Its rounded onion-head cap sits on a 100% copper pot like something from an old-world distillery, but every piece is made to be used, not just admired. It can handle whiskey, rum, vodka, brandy, moonshine and essential oils.

What does the onion head do on a pot still?

The wide, rounded cap gives rising vapor more copper to touch before it heads down the swan neck. More contact with copper means more chance to react with sulfur compounds, and that's a big part of why this style has lasted.

• Lead-free build: 100% copper, with every welded union sealed in lead-free tin-silver solder for a lasting bond.
