A 4" quick-clamp cap takes the guesswork out of the joint that causes the most trouble mid-run: the seal between your pot and its head. You don't have to mix flour or wheat paste and hope it holds. You clamp it, check it and get back to the real experiment. This set includes two 4" caps, one for your still pot and one for your thumper.
Why switch from still paste to a quick-clamp seal?
Paste can fail under pressure. A blowout halfway through a run sends hot wash down the sides of your still, which is a mess and, near an open flame, a fire risk. A clamped seal saves you time and money on paste and adds a margin of safety to every session.
